There are already 1 million Argentines who have installed their offices in their homes, the country leads this modality regional rankings.

They believe that 2008 will be the take-off of teleworking.
They foresee a growth of the activities for which employees are operating out of a physical office, but keep constant communication with the company.

"With more than 3.3 million portable computers waiting to be shiped for commercial purposes in the region during 2008, accompanied by other 5.5 million smart phones, the office environment is fading with the passage of time," said Predictions 2008 report of the IDC consultancy .

In addition to this situation of many terminals in use and new services that allow to use a phone as if it were a portable computer, is the presence of "a new generation of managers emerged and trained in the Internet era who assume the management of companies throughout the region."

The consultant believes that this year "many workers will start to leave their offices and move their work with them on a laptop or on a smart phone."

This will be done supported in his task by the localization services, remote management systems that will enable them to have the same information as if they were in the desktop, and the latest generation networks guarantee them stay connected always and everywhere.

For IDC these various factors, will result in increased productivity "despite the reluctance of managers to see their teams out from their sight" admitted the consultant, in a demonstration that the cultural factor remains the great obstacle to the implementation of technological and operational improvements in the corporate environment
